That was unintended.Īt first I had only Win10, Ubuntu and Kali on SSD.Īfter I installed crapload of programs on Win10, games started lagging more. Just an fyi, partitioning your drives doesnt actually make them separate "drives", its still 1 drive and will be bogged down when its being used by more than one thing, which will make your OS run slow and cause whatever else your doing like gaming to run slow aswell. The reason you put steam or any other gaming app on its own drive is to keep your OS drive relatively empty so it runs fast and isnt being used by a game or game app, which helps keep your whole pc running smooth, games will fill up drives super fast. Ssd for games only (this includes the steam app or any other game app)Īnd your choice on storage drive (personally i use hdd's for storage) Ssd for OS and other programs related to the pc (non-gaming programs) Originally posted by MonkehMaster:not even sure why you partitioned a tiny amount of space for your os like 25GB, likely you will fill that super fast just with windows updates and drivers.
